From the Rabbi: 2/26/10
The parasha for the week is Tetzaveh, Ex. 27:20-30:10
Purim begins at sundown on Saturday.
1. Jazz Shabbat begins at 8:00pm
2. Torah Study begins at 9:00am on Saturday.
3. Purim Service and Shpiel is Saturday evening beginning
at 7:15 un-sharp. Children are expected along with
tomfoolery, bamboozlement, and frivolous disregard
for dignity, pride, or decorum. Martinis will be served.
4. Religious School: this Sunday.
5. PURIM CARNIVAL begins at 11:45 this Sunday.
6. Admin Meeting is Monday evening at 8:00pm
7. Adult Ed. resumes on Tuesday morning at 10:00am.
8. Upper School meets this Tuesday.
9. Men's Club board meeting is also this Tuesday.
10. The next three "Introduction to Judaism" classes
in Manhattan are scheduled to begin Wed., March 17th,
Thurs., April 29th and Tuesday, June 29th.
11. My personal thanks to Rabbi Ted Tsuruoka and Cantor
Jerry Korobow for stepping forward when a family emergency
called me away. The entire congregation and I are grateful
